    Fermentation describes a process in which microorganism that are cultured under aerobic or anaerobic environmental convert a substrate into a product. Fermenters can range in size from small bench-top unit to 1000 liters large scale vessels.
    Temperature is the most critical parameter measured both during the SIP sterilization as well as the qualification of the fermentation process.
