The Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme (PIC/S®) is an international cooperative program originally established as a successor to the Pharmaceutical Inspection Convention. The goal of PIC/S® is to promote cooperation and harmonization among Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) supervisory authorities worldwide. This is achieved by standardizing inspection processes and improving communication between regulatory bodies and the pharmaceutical industry. By publishing guidelines and recommendations, PIC/S® helps ensure the manufacture and safety of pharmaceutical products on a global level.
