Kaye ValProbe® RM is a real-time wireless datalogger system developed for temperature mapping and thermal validation applications in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and other GxP-regulated industries. The platform combines wireless data loggers, interchangeable digital sensors, and centralized software integration within a unified validation environment.
Built on a 2.4 GHz RF architecture, ValProbe RM delivers secure real-time data acquisition with scalable deployment flexibility. The system operates alongside ValProbe RT loggers within a shared software ecosystem, allowing validation teams to expand studies while maintaining a consistent workflow.
Each ValProbe RM logger supports up to four inputs and stores data locally in non-volatile memory for additional redundancy. Interchangeable digital sensors simplify maintenance activities while supporting traceability and calibration integrity across validation studies.
ValProbe RM and RM-B Logger
The ValProbe RM and RM-B are wireless, battery-powered data loggers engineered for accurate and reliable thermal validation and temperature mapping applications in GxP-regulated environments. Both logger variants support interchangeable digital sensor modules and secure real-time data acquisition while maintaining local onboard storage for redundancy.
The standard ValProbe RM logger includes an integrated display for local visibility of measured parameters and device status. The ValProbe RM-B variant provides the same wireless data logging architecture in a display-free configuration for applications requiring simplified deployment and lower hardware cost.
Both logger variants support up to 100,000 time-stamped samples per sensor. The loggers use field-replaceable batteries and hot-swappable digital sensors to simplify maintenance activities. Logging intervals are configurable from 10 seconds to 10 minutes with programmable start and stop conditions. All recorded data is retained in non-volatile memory, protecting study integrity during battery replacement or temporary power interruptions.
Flexible Digital Sensors
The ValProbe RM platform supports interchangeable digital sensor modules for temperature, humidity, and other validation measurement applications.
Each wireless datalogger includes dual sensor ports for flexible sensor configuration. Calibration data is stored directly within each digital sensor module. This allows sensor replacement without recalibrating the logger itself and helps reduce maintenance downtime while preserving traceability.
The system automatically recognizes sensor changes and supports eSignature verification to maintain traceability and validation compliance.
Real-Time Wireless Architecture
The ValProbe RM platform utilizes a proprietary dual-antenna RF architecture operating on a 2.4 GHz wireless network. The scalable star-network architecture supports stable real-time data transmission across large validation areas. It is designed to reduce communication interruptions that can occur in complex industrial environments.
Each base station supports up to 50 wireless data loggers with communication ranges reaching approximately 300 meters (900 ft) line-of-sight. The platform is designed for scalable deployment across large validation areas while maintaining stable wireless communication. Multiple base stations can be integrated through Ethernet connectivity for expanded deployment flexibility.
The RF architecture incorporates AES 128 encrypted communication and local data buffering. Automatic reconnection capabilities help maintain study continuity during temporary connectivity interruptions. Multiple base stations can also be connected through Ethernet infrastructure for large-scale validation deployments.
Data Integrity and Redundancy
The ValProbe RM thermal validation system is designed to support secure data handling and uninterrupted data retention throughout qualification and mapping studies. Each wireless datalogger stores up to 100,000 samples per sensor within non-volatile memory, ensuring recorded data remains protected during battery replacement, temporary power interruptions, or network disruptions.
The platform incorporates AES 128 encrypted communication, local data buffering, electronic signature support, and full audit trail capability to support GxP data integrity requirements. Additional security functions include configurable user authentication controls, tamper-resistant data management, and automatic sensor recognition with traceability features.
When operating with external power, the system automatically transitions to battery backup during power failures to maintain continuous data collection. Gateway-level buffering and automatic reconnection capabilities further protect validation studies from temporary communication interruptions.
